Proposal at the Coast

The sweetest beachside proposal on the Oregon Coast. It was such a beautiful setting for a moment that marks the beginning of an entirely new chapter. Everything about the day felt intimate and intentional, allowing the proposal itself to remain at the heart of the experience.

For the florals, I wanted to create something that felt at home in the coastal landscape. Rather than making the flowers feel overly formal, the design leaned into softness, movement, and an organic quality that complemented the surrounding scenery. The flowers added a romantic touch to the setting while still allowing the ocean and natural landscape to take center stage. I love when floral design can enhance a location without trying to change it. I wanted the flowers to feel like they grew out of the sand.

Getting to create flowers for a proposal is especially meaningful because there is so much anticipation and emotion wrapped into a single moment. There is the excitement beforehand, the nervousness of waiting for the right moment, and then that split second when everything changes and the answer is finally yes. Knowing that these flowers were there to help frame such an important memory made this one particularly special. I’ll always have a soft spot for coastal celebrations, but especially the quiet, intimate ones that allow the beauty of the place and the meaning of the moment to speak for themselves.
